Fascinating Felting - 2 in 1 taster
A taster workshop to introduce you to both methods of felt making – one wet, the other dry!
Using hot soapy water, the wet method is ideal for transforming sheep's fleece into colourful felt, which could then be cut and sewn into purses, bags, mounted in frames, etc.
The dry method, using needles, is great for detailed, patterned and sculpted surfaces and allows you to bond fleece to other fabric surfaces too.
You will have the opportunity to create samples exploring both methods to take away with you.
This workshop will be colourful, wet and very therapeutic as you spend your time gently massaging the fleece or pounding the fibres depending on how you are feeling!
Please bring an apron.
